DC Universe Online arrives on Nintendo Switch

August 6, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and Daybreak Games have announced the release of the free to play MMO DC Universe Online on Nintendo Switch.  With the Switch version of the game players will be able to experience the huge scale of the DC Universe Online while on the go.  Check out the action packed trailer below…

In DC Universe Online Lex Luthor has traveled through time to bring warning of a dark future, one in which Brainiac has been siphoning the powers of the heroes and villains in order to destroy humanity.  To prevent this, Lex has set off a device that gives thousands of ordinary people their own unique powers and decide whether to be a hero or villain and fight alongside beloved characters, including Batman, Superman and The Joker.

Players will get to take part in more than 30 episodes taking place in iconic DC locations such as Gotham City, Metropolis and the undersea realm of Aquaman’s Atlantis.

“DC Universe Online is the ultimate Super Hero fantasy,” said SJ Mueller, Creative Director of DC Universe Online. “Who hasn’t imagined what their own Super Hero would look like or what superpowers they’d have? Then hit the streets of Gotham City and Metropolis and partner with the greats like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, or even The Joker. In DCUO, it’s YOUR character, with the DC Universe as your playground to either protect or conquer!”

As well as being able to play on the go, the Nintendo Switch includes a revamped tutorial, access to the latest event content, new augment and artifact systems and a new server separate from others.

DC Universe Online is available on the Nintendo eShop now.
