DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’s Beebo to save Christmas in CW holiday special

May 26, 2021 by Ricky Church

This holiday season, Christmas will be rescued by one of The CW’s Arrowverse heroes. Nope, not The Flash, Superman or Supergirl or Black Lightning, but DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’s very own stuffed animal Beebo. The CW will air Beebo Saves Christmas which will see Ben Diskin voice Beebo again in the hour-long animated special alongside Saturday Night Live alum Chris Kattan as an elf out to ruin Christmas.

Beebo was first introduced in the finale to Legends‘ third season where a time travel mishap made Vikings believe Beebo was a god of war and eventually replaced Christmas with Beebomas, causing the Legends to travel back in time and correct the timeline. Since then, Beebo has become a fan-favourite and has appeared several times in the series as well as The CW’s Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths, where the heroes of CW’s universe took personal umbrage at a villain using Beebo’s likeness to cause mayhem.

The official synopsis for Beebo Saves Christmas is:

Now after saving the world, Beebo is returning to help find the real meaning of Christmas. In Beebo Saves Christmas, an efficiency-obsessed elf named Sprinkles (Chris Kattan) decides the holiday would run better without Santa Claus, thus prompting Beebo and his delightfully named buddies to travel to the North Pole.

Also providing their voices will be Victor Garber, who played Dr. Martin Stein and one-half of Firestorm in Legends of Tomorrow, but will instead narrate the story with Kimiko Glenn (Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse) as Tweebo, Yvette Nicole Brown (Community) as Turbo, Keith Ferguson (Ducktales) as Fleabo and Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters) as Santa.

Beebo Saves Christmas will be written by Legends writer Matthew Maala and Kevin Shinick (Spider-Man). Executiv producing will be the Arrowverse’s Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, David Madden, Phil Klemmer, Grainne Godfree, Marc Guggenheim, Keto Shimizu and Teen Titans Go!’s Sam Register.
