Desert Child races its way onto PC and consoles this December

November 13, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Akupara Games and Oscar Brittain have announced that they will be releasing their hoverbike racing adventure, Desert Child, on consoles and PC this December.  The game is set to launch on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Steam on 11th December and Xbox One on the 12th.  If you want to see a chilled out Oscar Brittain you can watch the new trailer below…

Desert Child sees players take the role of a broke, but talented, hoverbike racer desperate to leave the Earth and see the Grand Prix on Mars.  A pixel art solar system inspired by popular anime, such as Cowboy Bebop and Akira, awaits with colourful sidequests and fierce hoverbike competitions.

This racing adventure features:

  • Hunt bounties, deliver pizzas, throw races – do anything to earn money.
  • Explore a pixel-art solar system inspired by Cowboy Bebop, Akira and Redline.
  • Customise the hoverbike with a variety of modifications.
  • Plenty of interplanetary foods with buffs to help the race to victory.
  • Master deep combat and racing mechanics and define your own style.
  • Race, shoot, and get better! Designed for replayability, with secrets that will keep you coming back.
  • Chill to an original lo-fi/hip-hop soundtrack.

Desert Child will arrive digitally on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Steam this December.
