Difficulty mode update coming to Vampyr next week

September 21, 2018 by Andrew Newton

DONTNOD Entertainment’s story driven action RPG Vampyr will be receiving the new difficulty modes update next week on 26th September.  This new update will arrive on all formats and (unsurprisingly) will provide two new game difficulty modes that add more playability.

The difficulty update will introduce a new Story mode that will place a greater emphasis on the narrative and reduces the amount of combat that players will take part in.  With this mode, players can follow the adventure of Dr. Reid without getting bogged down by fighting.

For those who want more combat in their playthroughs, the update will provide a Hard mode.  This mode not only makes combat much more difficult but will also provide less experience from killing enemies meaning that players will have to rely more on the citizens of London to develop his powers.

When starting a new game players will be given the option to choose from these two new modes and the normal mode (how it is played at the moment).

Aside from the new difficulty modes, this update will also feature a variety of optimization tweaks and fixes.

The Difficulty Modes update will arrive on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC next Wednesday.
