Disney+ gets the band back together in the trailer for The Muppets Mayhem

April 13, 2023 by Matt Rodgers

They delivered one of the greatest folk-funk classics with Can You Picture That? from 1979’s The Muppet Movie, and now over 40 years later Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem are returning to Disney+ with their own 10-part making-the-band series The Muppets Mayhem.

The Adam F. Goldberg created show focuses on the fact that the enigmatic ensemble comprised of Dr. Teeth, Zoot, Lips, Animal, Floyd and Janice have never actually released an album, and so with the help of human counterparts such as Anders Holm (Workaholics), Tahj Mowry (Full House), Saara Chaudry (The Breadwinner), and Lilly Singh (Fahrenheit 451) they set about laying down and tracks and causing plenty of Muppet Mayhem. Check out the trailer below…

Co-created by Bill Barretta, Jeff Yorkes, and Adam F. Goldberg The Muppet’s Mayhem features a raft of cameos from “Weird Al” Yankovic to Paula Abdul and Susanna Hoffs, as Nora, an aspiring record producer, attempts to get the Electric Mayhem record their first album.

The Muppets Mayhem is streaming May 10 on Disney+
