Dora: Rainforest Rescue brings adventure and excitement to PC and consoles this October

June 19, 2025 by Andrew Newton

It’s Dora the Explorer’s 25th anniversary this year and Outright Games will be celebrating 25 years of this young explorer’s adventures this autumn with Dora: Rainforest Rescue. This all-new adventure based on the CG-animated DORA series will arrive on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC on 24th October.  Watch the new trailer below…

Dora: Rainforest Rescue sees Swiper up to his old tricks of swiping things, but this time his thieving ways have caused all kinds of chaos for the rainforest. Join Dora and Boots the monkey in a brand-new adventure that will take her through the forest to restore the vibrant Alebrije Tree.

Players will run, jump and swing through colourful environments in a puzzle solving, platforming adventure where they will have to collect magical leaves to help the tree. On their journey, players will meet fan-favourite characters including Tico, Isa, Benny and Big Red Chicken, and they will also help Dora save the magical Alebrije Tree.

As well as a fun adventure for younger gamers to enjoy, the game blends in Spanish words and phrases that they can learn as they explore. Parents and children can also play and learn together in the 2-player local co-op mode.

“Swiper no swiping!” Does she still tell him that?

“We’re thrilled to introduce a new generation to Dora’s world through this interactive adventure,” said Stephanie Malham, Managing Director of Outright Games. “The new CG-animated series laid the perfect foundation for creating a game that captures Dora’s spirit of exploration, problem- solving, and bilingual education in a format the whole family can enjoy together.”

Dora: Rainforest Rescue will launch on PC and consoles on 24th October.
