Drone racing sim Liftoff leaves Early Access in September

August 31, 2018 by Andrew Newton

LuGus Studios has announced that their drone racing sim Liftoff will be leaving Early Access for a full release on 13th September.  Liftoff has been developed to provide as authentic a drone flying experience as possible with painstakingly recreated drone physics.  If the high speed excitement of drone racing is your thing then Liftoff will provide the ideal racing experience.

Since the game’s arrival on Early Access, LuGus Studios has released 85 updates to Liftoff and these have seen 21 real life drone frames for players to fly in, 14 realistic environments to fly through and explore and a dedicated competitive league.

Liftoff features a comprehensive track editor that allows players to build and share their own race tracks, this has resulted in nearly 3000 tracks having been created by the community.

“The drone racing community is filled with creative minds and budding engineers and it’s the passion of this community that has helped us shape Liftoff throughout Early Access,” said Kevin Haelterman, Co-Founder of LuGus Studios. “Through the support of the community, their feedback has fuelled our attention to detail and allowed us to make Liftoff the definitive drone racing experience, offering players the most true to life experience possible. Even though we’re excited to launch out of Early Access, we will continue refining and supporting Liftoff long into the future .”

Liftoff will leave Early Access for a full release on 13th September.
