Dying Light 2 special livestream coming this Thursday

May 26, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Techland has revealed that a big announcement is heading our way on Thursday 27th May at 8 PM BST on developer Techland’s Twitch channel.  Hopefully this is a chance for us to learn more about this hugely anticipated sequel to the excellent Dying Light.

The announcement came to me when Techland sent me a curious package, within a cuboid parcel was a long tube containing a mini-poster, a note and a brilliant little UV torch.  I read the note, then decided to play with the little torch and suddenly realised it was of the UV variety.  The note mentioning the need to look for clues made sense.  Doing my best Gil Grissom impersonation I scanned the note with the torch and then the mini-poster of the atmospheric concept art to discover the details of the event and its 27th May date and time.

From this reveal we could perhaps assume that the mini-poster confirms an official title for the game, Dying Light 2: Stay Human, though I have a big suspicion that we will find out for sure at the livestream on Thursday.  Will we find out where the game is set, will we discover the plot and more importantly, will we be told a release date?  We’ll have to wait until Thursday to find out.

I look forward to what Techland’s stream will reveal, in the meantime, I’m going to go all CSI and play with the UV torch until the batteries run out.
