Embrace the space horror with new Alien: Romulus trailer

June 4, 2024 by EJ Moreno

Director Fede Alvarez has built quite the space thriller in an effort to make Alien one of the scariest horror franchises again.

In the first official trailer for the upcoming Alien: Romulus, we get a look at what the Evil Dead filmmaker is cooking up, and it looks downright terrifying. With this new look, we meet our new space heroes, who are facing off against a gaggle of Facehuggers and one of the scariest looks for a Xenomorph yet.

Set for release this August, we still have some time to brace ourselves for this terror. Check out the new poster and trailer below…

“While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonisers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.”

The film stars Cailee Spaeny (Civil War), David Jonsson (Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), Isabela Merced (The Last of Us), Spike Fearn (Aftersun), and Aileen Wu. Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe) directs from a screenplay he wrote with frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues (Don’t Breathe 2) based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett.
