Emilia Clarke wants Game of Thrones co-star Kit Harington to play a young Luke Skywalker

May 15, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Star of Solo: A Star Wars Story, Emilia Clarke, has revealed that she would like her Game of Thrones co-star Kit Harrington to play a young Luke Skywalker.

With Solo: A Star Wars Story now less than a couple of weeks away, attention is starting to turn to the movie’s release and it’s stars. Emilia Clarke is the female lead in Solo, playing the character Qi’ra, and she has given her thoughts on who could play a young Luke should he also get his own film like Han.

Speaking to ET at Solo’s premiere, the actress said that she felt inclined to say that one of her Game of Thrones co-stars should get the part: “I feel like I have to say Kit Harington. Because I have to, do you know what I mean?”

Turning to her work on Solo, Clarke spoke about her excitement of being involved with Star Wars: “My brother was a huge fan, he’s my big brother. I was always gonna do everything he told me to do, so I watched them really young [and] got into them from him,” she said.”Then when it all came back the second time around, I became a fan all over again, because it’s just… they’ve taken it to every level. And then when they wanted me to be in it, I’m like, ‘What? OK!”

Clarke also expressed how happy she was for other people to finally see the movie: “I really cannot wait for someone else to know what happens in this movie,” she said. “Oh my God, I can’t wait.”
