Everest climbs to the summit of the UK box office chart

UK box office top ten and analysis for the weekend of Friday 18th September to Sunday 20th September 2015…

Director Baltasar Kormakur’s star-studded survival thriller Everest has topped the UK box office chart in its opening weekend, with the film pulling in £3,160,154 to dethrone the Tom Hardy-headlined gangster biopic Legend.

Three other newcomers managed to sneak in towards the foot of the chart, with A Walk in the Woods pulling in £252.175 in eighth, followed by the live concert The Battle of Britain at 75 in ninth with £225,942 and historical comedy adventure Bill in tenth with £221,807.
