Following on from its premiere during the Midnight section of the Cannnes Film Festival back in May, Umbrella Entertainment has shared a trailer for Exit 8, the psychological horror based on the 2023 video game The Exit 8.

Directed by Genki Kawamura, the film follows a man (Yamato Kôchi) as he attempts to escape the underground passage he become lost in, while he struggles to work out if the strange experience is real or just an illusion. Check out the trailer below…

A man gets lost in an underground passage. He follows the “guide” through the passage, but one after another, strange things happen to him. Is this space real? Or an illusion? Will the man be able to escape the passage?

Exit 8 is releasing in Japan on August 28th 2025, with US and UK dates expected soon.
