Ezra Miller in talks for Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

June 25, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Having secured the role of The Flash in the DC Cinematic Universe, it looks like Ezra Miller (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) is set to join another of Warner Bros.’ huge franchises, with Variety reporting that the actor is in talks for the upcoming Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

According to the site, Miller is in negotiations for the role of Kredan in the film, which is planned as the first of a trilogy set 70 years before the Harry Potter movies. If the two reach a deal, Miller will join Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything) as Newt Scamander and Katherine Waterston (Inherent Vice) as Porpetina, in the cast of the film, which is being directed by Potter veteran David Yates.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set for release on November 18th, 2016.
