F2P shooter Spacelords gets Identity update

May 8, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Indie developer MercurySteam has released the Identity update for their free to play shooter Spacelords.  This latest update adds a huge range of new content to the game, including the Space Shop, and is available on Windows PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.  See more in the new trailer below……

The Identity update has added a range of new content, including the addition of monthly rewards for players who log in and individual scores based on the player’s performance.  There is also a new Featured Player highlight which celebrates player’s most heroic deeds in the game.

The most anticipated of the new features in the update is the addition of the Space Shop, this shop offers a wide range of cosmetic customisation for all characters so that players can make their character look unique.  There’s a new range of skins for players to obtain, not only for their characters but also for their favourite weapons, plus new emotes to use in battle.

“Identity is a step forward in Spacelords’ transition to the free to play business model, offering an exciting range of optional cosmetic items to the growing Spacelords community,” commented Enric Álvarez, Game Director.

“This update is just the second milestone in our ambitious Spacelords’ Roadmap, and we will continue to add top quality content to Spacelords in the coming months based on the players’ feedback.”

Spacelords is available to download now for free from Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Steam.
