Fantasy anime Witch Hat Atelier gets a trailer from Crunchyroll

March 27, 2026 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its premiere on Crunchyroll this April, a poster and trailer have landed online for Witch Hat Atelier, the adaptation of the award winning fantasy manga.

The anime series follows Coco, a young girl with hidden abilities who dreams of becoming a witch, as she begins her studies when Qifrey visits her village, taking on Coco as his apprentice.

The English-dub voice cast includes Anjali Kunapaneni as Coco, Joshua A. Waters as Qifrey, Madeleine Morris as Agott, Sarah Wiedenheft as Tetia, Nerida Bronwen as Richeh, Reagan Murdock as Olruggio, Bryn Apprill as Brushbuddy, and Erin Nicole Lundquist as Iguin. Watch the trailer below…

In a world where only witches can cast magic, they must avoid being seen by ordinary people while casting. While Coco does her chores, she daydreams of becoming a witch. When a young witch named Qifrey visits her village, Coco uncovers the “absolute secret,” becomes Qifrey’s apprentice, and begins her studies. This is the story of children who encounter despair, yet reach out toward hope.

Witch Hat Atelier premieres on Crunchyroll on April 6th.
