During the San Diego Comic-Con last year, it was announced that Warner Animation will be taking a second crack at adapting the classic ‘The Death of Superman’ comic book arc with a two-part animated feature, Death of Superman and Reign of the Supermen, and thanks to The World’s Finest, we’ve now got out first glimpse at the opening chapter…
The above image comes from the iTunes Extra page for April’s Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, which will presumably include a first look featurette for The Death of Superman as part of its bonus features.
As yet, we know nothing about the movie (aside from the fact that it is said to be a much more faithful adaptation of the source material than the 2007 DC animated movie Superman/Doomsday), but we’ll presumably be getting some details on its cast and crew in the coming weeks.
