The trailer for George Clooney’s drama The Tender Bar starring Ben Affleck has been released. Directed by Clooney, the film sees Affleck as the bar tender who provides his nephew, played by Tye Sheridan (Ready Player One), with several pieces of advice for life. Watch the trailer below…

It tells the story of J.R., a fatherless boy growing up in the glow of a bar where the bartender, his Uncle Charlie, is the sharpest and most colorful of an assortment of quirky and demonstrative father figures. As the boy’s determined mother struggles to provide her son with opportunities denied to her — and leave the dilapidated home of her outrageous if begrudgingly supportive father — J.R. begins to gamely, if not always gracefully, pursue his romantic and professional dreams — with one foot persistently placed in Uncle Charlie’s bar.
The Tender Bar stars Ben Affleck (Zack Snyder’s Justice League), Tye Sheridan (Ready Player One), Lily Rabe (American Horror Story), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Max Martini (Saving Private Ryan) and Rhenzy Feliz (Marvel’s The Runaways).
The Tender Bar will be released in theatres on December 17th and on Amazon Prime on January 7th, 2022.
