PRM Games has announced the release of their FMV psychological horror-thriller game Hello Stranger on PC via Steam. Written and directed by Paul Raschid, Hello Stranger takes players through a chilling story where survival depends on the choices they make.
In Hello Stranger, players follow Cam, a man who lives his entire life through his smart-home. His work, entertainment and socialising via the titular video chat platform is spent within the confines of his home. But when a stranger succeeds in hacking into his home and locking him inside, Cam is forced to play three deadly games, where every decision matters or never see the outdoors again.
There are two different story modes for players to choose from, Game Mode and Cinema Mode, the latter is closer to an interactive film experience with fewer games, though both modes contain over four hours of live-action content. The decisions that players make can lead to multiple branching paths with 10 possible endings.
Throughout the Game Mode, players will get to take part in a variety of different interactive mini-games that will test the player’s reflexes. These mini-games include a Platformer, a Car Chase, a Shoot ‘Em Up, A Beat ‘Em Up and a Survival Horror, and playing these can provide a total of 20 hours of gameplay.
The acting talent that players can expect to see in-game include:
- Derek Jacobi (Gladiator, Last Tango in Halifax, I, Claudius and many more)
- George Blagden (Vikings)
- Danny Griffin (Fate: The Winx Saga)
- Christina Wolfe (The Ark, FBI: International)
- Kulvinder Ghir (Foundation, Goodness Gracious Me)
- Laura Whitmore (Queenie)
- Yasmin Finney (Heartstopper)
Hello Stranger is now available for PC via Steam for £8.50 GPB/€9.75 EUR/$9.99 USD with a special 10% limited-time launch discount.
