From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series starts production, cast revealed

November 7, 2013 by admin

Robert Rodriguez’s El Ray Network and FactoryMade Ventures have announced that production is underway on From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, a ten-episode drama which is of course based upon Rodriguez’s Quentin Tarantino-scripted crime/vampire mash-up from 1996.

Coinciding with the start of filming, a press release has been released, revealing that the cast for the series will include D.J. Cotrona (Dear John, G.I. Joe: Retaliation) as Seth Gecko, Zane Holtz (Holes, The Perks of Being a Wallflower) as Richie Gecko, Don Johnson (Django Unchained, Nash Bridges) as Sheriff Earl McGraw, and Jesse Garcia (Quinceañera, Sons of Anarchy) as Texas Ranger Freddie Gonzalez, a new character created for the series.

“If the movie’s the short story, the series is the novel.” said Rodriguez, who will executive produce as well as directing the first two episodes: “We have assembled an amazing cast and crew and viewers can expect to be part of a wild ride when the series premieres on El Rey Network next spring.”
