G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero to embark on new Silent Missions from Skybound and Image Comics

January 18, 2025 by Gary Collinson

Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics have announced that they will be paying tribute to one of the most historic stories in G.I. Joe history this coming April with ‘Silent Missions’ month, which will kick off with a reprint of the classic ‘Silent Interlude’ from Marvel’s G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #21, followed weekly by five-all new G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Silent Missions one-shots featuring Beach Head, Jinx, Spirit, Roadblock and Duke.

“The importance of the Silent Interlude cannot be overstated,” said Alex Antone, Editorial Director at Skybound. “And in celebration of this historic issue, Skybound has invited five of the industry’s best storytellers to write and draw their own silent issue, each taking on a different G.I. Joe character. And while this event is inspired by Larry Hama and Steve Leialoha’s original masterpiece, each issue is singular in its approach and showcases the unique strengths of these incredible artists.”
