Gabriel Luna joins Chris Pratt in The Terminal List season 2

March 13, 2025 by Ricky Church

Nearly three years after its premiere on Amazon Prime, The Terminal List has its first major piece of news for its second season. Per Variety, Gabriel Luna (The Last of Us) will star alongside Chris Pratt in the upcoming season, which will soon begin production.

Pratt starred as James Reece, a former Navy SEAL who discovered a conspiracy revolving around the death of his entire platoon and set out to avenge them. The series was based on the book by Jack Carr and season two will adapt the second book in Carr’s Reece series, True Believer.

Luna will play Freddy Strain, who is described as “a man of two worlds – equal parts elite sniper and dedicated family man. His belief that James Reece survived the events of ‘The Terminal List’ S1 will pull the ‘Most Wanted Man on the Planet’ out of hiding and back into the fray. Reece shows Freddy that desperate times can call for operating outside the lines, while Freddy’s commitment to family, country, and cause will help guide Reece on his path to redemption.”

Production will begin later this month and is expected to last until the fall. While that extends the large gap between the first and second season, fans will still be able to view more from the world of The Terminal List with the prequel series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf focusing on Taylor Kitsch’s character Ben Edwards. The prequel is also in production and a premiere date has not yet been announced.

Based on the best-selling novel by Jack Carr, The Terminal List follows James Reece (Chris Pratt) after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. Reece returns home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. However, as new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life, but the lives of those he loves.

The Terminal List features a cast that includes Chris Pratt, Constance Wu, Taylor Kitsch, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Riley Keough, Arlo Mertz, Jai Courtney, JD Pardo, Patrick Schwarzenegger, LaMonica Garrett, Stephen Bishop, Sean Gunn, Tyner Rushing, Jared Shaw, Christina Vidal, Nick Chinlund, Matthew Rauch, Warren Kole, and Alexis Louder.
