Game of Thrones: War for Westeros announced with cinematic reveal trailer

June 10, 2025 by Gary Collinson

Any fans out there still unsatisfied with the conclusion to HBO’s Game of Thrones, then you are in luck as PlaySide Studios has announced the upcoming release of Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, a new real-time strategy game which promises to let gamers rewrite the Song of Ice and Fire.

“Game of Thrones: War for Westeros takes fans back to the Seven Kingdoms. This time, you’re not watching the ‘Game of Thrones’ – you’re playing it.” said Ryan McMahon, Game Director at PlaySide Studios. “War for Westeros puts you in the seat of power, whether you’re leading the Starks, Targaryens, or Lannisters, or even commanding the Night King and his army of the dead, you’ll wield real power and rewrite the fate of the realm.”

Take command of the Great Houses – or the Night King himself – as you raise your banners, rally iconic Heroes and conquer the Seven Kingdoms solo, or in exciting free-for-all multiplayer.

Game of Thrones: War for Westeros is coming to PC in 2026.
