Gears 5 soundtrack now available to pre-order on vinyl

November 20, 2019 by Andrew Newton

For the first time ever Gears of War is coming to vinyl so fans should dust off their old record player and get ready for the Gears 5 Original Soundtrack arriving in February 2020.  Thanks to Laced Records, The Coalition and Xbox Game Studios, this 18 track soundtrack will come in Standard and Limited editions.

These 18 tracks have been composed by Game of Thrones and Iron Man composer Ramin Djawadi and the strong mix of orchestra, percussion and atmospheric electronic sounds helps bring to life various chapters of the game.

The Standard Edition comes in the traditional black record format while the Limited Edition will brighten things up with red and transparent orange records.  Both editions will feature a deluxe gatefold sleeve featuring original artwork by UK based designer, Luke Preece.

Gears 5 wowed fans and critics alike when it released in September and with a soundtrack like this it’s little wonder why.  If you want to see what the fuss was about purchase the game now on the Microsoft Store or play on Xbox Games Pass.  If you want to just lay back, relax and listen to the beautifully composed soundtrack then it’s available to pre-order from Laced Records, priced £33/ $35.
