Go behind-the-scenes of Streets of Rage 4

November 14, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Those gamers among you who remember the iconic Streets of Rage series will enjoy the new behind-the-scenes look at Streets of Rage 4 from publisher and co-developer Dotemu (publishers of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap) and co-developers Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games.  In the video the developers share their love of beat-em-ups and some of the games that inspired them to remake this classic.  You can enjoy this new video below….

Streets of Rage 4 will be the first core entry of the franchise in more than 25 years but that doesn’t mean it will be a stale rehash of old ideas, far from it.  The developers have gone all out to ensure this latest installment of the series includes fresh new features such as devastating combat options, brand new characters and an exquisite hand-drawn art style that captures the gritty atmosphere of the franchises roots.

The upcoming game will also include a variety of original infectious melodies composed by an all-star roster of contributing composers, including Yūzō Koshiro (Streets of Rage 1, 2, and 3), Motohiro Kawashima (Streets of Rage 2 & 3 and Shinobi II), Yoko Shimomura (Kingdom Hearts I, II & III), Hideki Naganuma (Jet Set Radio), and Keiji Yamagishi (Ninja Gaiden, Tecmo Bowl).

Streets of Rage 4 will be released on Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
