Go inside the world of Edgar Wright’s The Running Man with two new featurettes

November 4, 2025 by Matt Rodgers

Edgar Wright’s The Running Man is sprinting towards its November 12 release date, so to keep audiences on their toes Paramount Pictures has released two new action-packed featurettes for the Glen Powell-headlined Stephen King adaptation.

The first takes you inside the world of The Running Man, with Edgar Wright, Glen Powell, Colman Domingo, and Josh Brolin discussing bringing the novel to the big-screen, while in the second they talk about creating the deadliest game of hide-and-seek for the high-octane blockbuster.

Wright is directing from a script co-written with Michael Bacall, and has an all-star ensemble featuring  William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Emilia Jones, Michael Cera, Daniel Ezra, and Jayme Lawson. Take a look in the videos below…

“In a near-future society, The Running Man is the top-rated show on television—a deadly competition where contestants, known as Runners, must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins, with every move broadcast to a bloodthirsty public and each day bringing a greater cash reward. Desperate to save his sick daughter, working-class Ben Richards (Glen Powell) is convinced by the show’s charming but ruthless producer, Dan Killian (Josh Brolin), to enter the game as a last resort. But Ben’s defiance, instincts, and grit turn him into an unexpected fan favourite—and a threat to the entire system. As ratings skyrocket, so does the danger, and Ben must outwit not just the Hunters but a nation addicted to watching him fall.”

The Running Man races into cinemas on November 12, 2025.
