Hailee Steinfeld says it’s an “honor” to play Kate Bishop in Marvel’s Hawkeye series

With production officially underway on Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye TV series, Hailee Steinfeld, who is set to play Clint Barton’s protégé Kate Bishop, has discussed taking on the role of the character.

In an interview with Fandom, Steinfeld stated that it is such an “honor” to play the young archer and she is excited for audiences to see her portrayal of the character.

“It’s amazing, my God, to finally be able to confirm. It’s such an honor, my goodness, to be playing this role and I’m so, so excited about it,” Steinfeld said. “It felt so wonderful to be back at work, I feel so grateful. It’s been a very crazy year of not knowing if that was gonna happen for a while, so, happy to be back at work and playing this character. It’s gonna be really fun. I’m excited for people to see it. I’m excited to see it.”

Hawkeye sees Jeremy Renner returning as Clint Barton alongside Hailee Steinfeld (Bumblebee) as Kate Bishop, Florence Pugh (Black Widow) as Yelena Belova, Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring) as Eleanor Bishop, Fra Fee (Les Miserables) as Kazi, Tony Dalton (Better Call Saul) as Jack Duquesne, Zahn McClarnon (Fargo) as William Lopez and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez.
