The freshly-rebooted new DC Universe will return to the small screen this August, with HBO Max announcing the premiere window for DC Studios’ Lanterns with the release of the first trailer for the live-action Green Lantern series.
Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre lead the cast as Green Lantern Corps members Hal Jordan and John Stewart, alongside Kelly Macdonald as Sheriff Kelly, Garrett Dillahunt as William Macon, Poorna Jagannathan as Zoe, Sherman Augustus and J. Alphonse Nicholson as John Senior, Jasmine Cephas Jones as Bernadette Stewart and Ulrich Thomsen as Sinestro, with Nathan Fillion also reprising his Superman role as Guy Gardner. The series follows new recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.
Lanterns is set to premiere on HBO Max this August.
