Halloween Kills is set on the same night as 2018’s Halloween

July 10, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Danny McBride, the co-writer of Halloween Kills, has revealed that the sequel will be set directly after 2018’s Halloween.

We have recently learned that Halloween Kills won’t be coming out this year after all, unfortunately being another victim of the global health crisis and shutdown delays. Instead, the film will arrive 2021.

In some good news, however, a trailer has been released and we also have some details regarding the movie’s setting. According to Danny McBride in an interview with Empire, Halloween Kills will be set right after the 2018 movie:

“It takes place the same night, picking up where the last movie ended. Events in the film bring together a lot of characters who were in the 1978 film who we didn’t see last time. They gather to try, once and for all, to take down Michael, to stop this madman.”

While fans will be disappointed regarding the long wait, hopefully, the movie will be worth it. Are you looking forward to Halloween Kills? Let us know in the comments below and on social media @flickeringmyth.
