Halloween producer shoots down rumours of Halloween: The Next Chapter

August 20, 2014 by admin

Yesterday it was being reported around the Internet by famed rumour-hounds Schmoes Know that Michael Myers was set to return to the big screen with a new movie going into production named Halloween: The Next Chapter. The movie was rumoured to be the next step in Rob Zombie’s Halloween series, but would have no involvement from the man himself.

However, ShockTillYouDrop.com contacted Halloween producer Malek Akkad who has said that the rumours are not true. Furthermore, the official Halloween Facebook page posted this to back up Akkad’s claims:

“We’ve been getting a lot of e-mails/tweets/Facebook messages lately about a project called Halloween: The Next Chapter. It seems that’s the latest buzz surrounding the next Halloween film and again it’s just not true. As we stated before, a new installment of Halloween is indeed in on track and moving forward and we are currently developing a script, to finally bring Michael back to the theaters!

More information will be released over the coming months and exclusively at Halloweenmovies.com. So make sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook, so you can know first!”

So, no word yet on the next instalment in the Halloween franchise. Would you like to see them follow on from Rob Zombie’s Halloween series or reboot the franchise once again?
