Hasbro unveils Transformers X Jurassic Park collaboration

July 3, 2021 by Amie Cranswick

Hasbro has announced its upcoming Transformers and Jurassic Park collaboration with the reveal of two figures – the Tyrannocon Rex & Autobot JP93 vehicle pack which will kick off the new line this December, priced at $104.99/£124.99; check out the promotional images here…

Continue on an adventure 65 million years in the making with the TRANSFORMERS X Jurassic Park figure and vehicle pack. The iconic T. rex and Ford Explorer from the blockbuster 1993 movie, Jurassic Park, are now TRANSFORMERS robots: TYRANNOCON REX and AUTOBOT JP93! The 7-inch tall TYRANNOCON REX figure converts into T.R rex mode in 27 steps, and the 5.5-inch tall AUTOBOT JP93 figure converts into licensed Ford Explorer mode in 18 steps. To create the most screen-accurate characters, both figures feature a combined 260 deco ops and details inspired by the groundbreaking thrill ride from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment – including packaging inspired by the iconic scene where T. rex escapes her enclosure, complete with the crushed and upside-down Ford Explorer. AUTOBOT JP93 also comes with a blaster accessory that can attach to figure in both modes and the TYRANNOCON REX figure features detailed molded dinosaur texture.

TYRANNOCON REX is loose. Repeat: TYRANNOCON REX is loose! Do not panic. AUTOBOT JP93 has been dispatched and is equipped to handle the situation. AUTOBOT JP93 will track down the asset out of containment and return her to her paddock promptly. If you see TYRANNOCON REX, do not approach her. Please call Jurassic Park Security when you are safely out of range! TRANSFORMERS robots have always been More Than Meets The Eye, but now, through the TRANSFORMERS Collaborative, fans can experience these larger-than-life characters as they team-up, mash-up, and meet up with other characters, teams, and people who share this same special quality.
