Hazbin Hotel spin-off Helluva Boss heads to Prime Video for two new seasons

April 27, 2025 by Ricky Church

The Hellaverse from Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss creator Vivienne Medrano is about to expand in a big way as Helluva Boss has not only been renewed for two more seasons, but is heading to Prime Video with a promise of crossovers with Hazbin Hotel.

Helluva Boss follows the hell-born imp Blitzo (with a silent o), who runs a small, chaotic assassination business. Brandon Rogers, Richard Horvitz, Vivian Williams, Erica Lindbeck and Bryce Pinkham are among the voice cast on the series.

Helluva Boss premiered on Youtube in 2019 with an independently produced pilot by Medrano similar to her original pilot for Hazbin Hotel. Its two seasons followed on Youtube and will be released on Amazon later this fall with its two future seasons premiering on Amazon before coming onto Youtube in a new deal Medrano has made with Amazon where she will retain creative control of both series.

The news was made in an announcement on Medrano’s Youtube channel Vivziepop which is the home of Helluva Boss. The video shows Hazbin Hotel‘s Charlie Morningstar and Helluva‘s Blitzo explaining how the new deal with Amazon will work before teasing future encounters between their respective groups of characters.

“I am so grateful to Prime Video for their continued support of our work on Hazbin Hotel and for allowing our team at Spindlehorse to expand the Hellaverse by embracing Helluva Boss,” Medrano said. “I’m so excited for what this means for the continued rise of Indie animation! It’s a dream come true to be able to tell these stories, and I truly can’t wait for you to see what we have planned!”

Hazbin Hotel, meanwhile, has already been renewed for a third and fourth season with Erika Henningsen, Stephanie Beatriz, Alex Brightman, Blake Roman, Amir Talai, Keith David and Kimiko Glenn voicing the main cast.
