Hellboy comes to Injustice 2 with new gameplay trailer

October 27, 2017 by Ricky Church

Injustice 2 continues to roll out its DLC characters and next up is Dark Horse’s Hellboy. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios have released a gameplay trailer for the upcoming character, showing off several of his moves against DC’s heroes and villains. Check out the trailer below…

Created by Mike Mignola, Hellboy is a half-demon that was summoned from Hell to Earth when he was a baby by Nazi occultists, but was saved by Professor Trevor Bruttenholm. Afterward, Bruttenholm founded the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense, which Hellboy worked for to capture and dispose of evil supernatural entities and monsters. Despite his appearance, Hellboy is actually a big softy and has an ironic sense of humour.

Hellboy has had two films made by Guillermo del Toro, Hellboy and Hellboy II: The Golden Army, with Ron Perlman starring as the horned demon. A reboot is currently in the works with Stranger Things‘ David Harbour as Hellboy and Neil Marshall directing.

Hellboy is the final member of the Fighter Pack #2 DLC. He will be available to download for players who have purchased the Injustice 2 Digital Deluxe Edition, Ultimate Edition or Fighter Pack #2 on November 14th. Following that, he will be made available to purchase separately by players on November 21st.
