Henry Cavill teases Green Lantern DC Extended Universe appearance

March 15, 2017 by Robert Kojder

Recently we brought you news of Armie Hammer discussing his recovery from shoulder surgery and his possibility of entering the DC Extended Universe to play Green Lantern.

Now, Henry Cavill has taken to Instagram to show off a workout photo talking about his own recovery from knee surgery. He also gets in a quick Green Lantern joke, further teasing the character’s introduction in the DC Extended Universe. Check out the post here…

Armie Hammer has been strongly rumored to play the character of Hal Jordan in Green Lantern Corps. Further supporting Hammer’s potential casting in the role is the fact that the two like each other’s posts on Instagram, although for those unaware or who maybe have forgotten, they did recently co-star together in 2015’s Man From U.N.C.L.E., so it is entirely possible they are just having a little fun with the fans (it’s also not the first time Cavill has teased Green Lantern on social media).

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League will reunite Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta alongside J.K. Simmons (Whiplash) as Commissioner Gordon, Amber Heard (The Danish Girl) as Mera, Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man) as Vulko, Kiersey Clemons (Dope) as Iris West, Ciaran Hinds (Game of Thrones) as Steppenwolf and Julian Lewis Jones (Stella) in an as-yet-unrevealed role. It is set for release on November 17th 2017.
