Horror and fishing come together in Out Fishing

June 18, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Mūn Mūn Games and publisher UNIKAT Label have announced Out Fishing, a new first-person title that combines both horror and fishing, coming to PC via Steam. This upcoming title will bring an eerie lake, a spooky forest and all the features of a psychological horror.  Watch the new trailer below…

Out Fishing takes players to a scenic lake in the middle of a vast forest, where the game’s protagonist used to spend many a summer as a child, that is until a mysterious drowning occurred, forcing the camp to close. Now, the area is quiet, devoid of humans and the only sounds from the area are the wildlife and the occasional talking fish.

Blending the chilled out routine of a job sim with the creeping dread of psychological horror, Out Fishing will encourage players to build up their camp, upgrade their fishing equipment and make a profit, by day anyway. Night fishing in this foggy wilderness is not recommended.

Featuring:

  • A horror story that can be experienced at your own pace. Enjoy the exploration, fishing, strange visions and unsettling finds at your leisure.
  • Upgrade tools and equipment to access deeper waters, strange areas and the forest.
  • Tense survival mechanics.
  • A shifting day/night cycle that affects the forest, the lake, the fish and more.
  • A beautiful world full of memories and a forest that wants to be left alone.

Add the game to your Steam wishlist and look out for more news coming for Out Fishing in the future.
