In the midst of a hectic day loaded with Super Bowl TV spots, Hugh Jackman took to Twitter to tease the notion of Wolverine’s classic costume making an appearance in his highly anticipated possible final outing for the superhero, Logan.
The costume was first teased in a deleted scene from The Wolverine, which Logan director James Mangold also helmed. Whether it be a final costume Wolverine acquires toward the end of the film or something spotted in a flashback, the concept of seeing the character in action sporting classic attire is certainly tantalizing. In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.
Logan is being helmed by The Wolverine director James Mangold and will see Hugh Jackman joined in the cast by Patrick Stewart as Professor X, along with new additions Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Dafne Keen, Eriq La Salle, Elizabeth Rodriguez and Elise Neal. It is set for release on March 1st in the UK and March 3rd in North America.
