Hulu officially orders The Devil in the White City limited series with Keanu Reeves

August 5, 2022 by Ricky Church

After being reported at the start of the year, Variety reports that Hulu has now officially greenlit The Devil in the White City from Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio, with Keanu Reeves leading the cast.

The Devil in the White City tells “the true story of two men, an architect and a serial killer, whose fates were forever linked by The Chicago World’s Fair of 1893. It follows Daniel H. Burnham (Reeves), a brilliant and fastidious architect racing to make his mark on the world, and Henry H. Holmes, a handsome and cunning doctor who fashioned his own pharmaceutical ‘Murder Castle’ on fairgrounds – a palace built to seduce, torture, and mutilate young women. The story takes the viewer on a tour of murder, romance, and mystery in the gilded age.”

Joining Scorsese and DiCaprio behind the camera on The Devil in the White City is Sam Shaw (Castle Rock), who is writing and showrunning the series, with Todd Field serving as the director for the first two episodes.
