Idris Elba’s John Luther is back in sneak peek clip from Luther series 5

The BBC has has released a sneak peek clip from the fifth series of its award-winning crime drama series Luther which sees Idris Elba’s titular detective tortured by East End gangster George Cornelius (Patrick Malahide) and his cronies in order to find the whereabouts of Cornelius’ son Alistair, much to the confusion of Luther; watch it here…

Award winning crime drama series starring Idris Elba as Luther, a near-genius murder detective whose brilliant mind can’t always save him from the dangerous violence of his passions.

Luther series 5 sees Idris Elba returning as DSI John Luther alongside Dermot Crowley (DSU Martin Schenk), Michael Smiley (Benny Silver), Ruth Wilson (Alice), Patrick Malahide (George Cornelius) and newcomer Wunmi Mosaku as DS Catherine Halliday.
