It’s official: Batman will not feature in the Arrowverse

August 12, 2016 by admin

It was rumoured last month that The Dark Knight could make the leap to TV screens once again as part of The CW’s DC output in Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl or Legends of Tomorrow.

The original rumour stated that The CW wanted to bring Catwoman, Orcale and Constatine to the Arrowverse, and had approached Fox about bringing in Batman too. Well at the Television Critics Association’s press tour, producer Andrew Kriesberg made it clear that they were not going after Batman and that Superman would be the only member of the Trinity appearing for now.

Other rumours of Batman villains – such as The Joker, Penguin and The Riddler – possibly having cameos have also proven untrue. Its likely down to Fox owning the television rights to the Batman character, making it difficult for the Caped Crusader to cross over.

Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl all return this fall on The CW.
