J.K. Simmons and Sissy Spacek find a portal to another world in trailer for Night Sky

April 23, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

Amazon Prime Video has released a trailer, poster and images for Night Sky, the upcoming sci-fi drama series which stars Sissy Spacek and J.K. Simmons as a retired couple who have spent years keeping a closely guarded secret – a portal to another world they discovered in their back yard – only for their quiet existence to be upended with the arrival of a mysterious stranger. Check them out here…

Spanning space and time, Night Sky follows Irene (Sissy Spacek) and Franklin York (J.K. Simmons), a couple who, years ago, discovered a chamber buried in their backyard which inexplicably leads to a strange, deserted planet. They’ve carefully guarded their secret ever since, but when an enigmatic young man enters their lives, the Yorks’ quiet existence is quickly upended… and the mystifying chamber they thought they knew so well turns out to be much more than they could ever have imagined.

Joining Sissy Spacek and J.K. Simmons in the cast of Night Sky are Chai Hansen, Kiah McKirnan, Julieta Zylberberg, Rocío Hernández, and Adam Bartley.

Night Sky premieres on Prime Video on May 20th.
