Iron Man 3 star James Badge Dale is set to add another comic book adaptation to his C.V., with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that the actor has signed on to star in the supernatural thriller The Empty Man.
The film is based upon Cullen Bunn and Vanesa R. Del Rey’s Boom! Studios comic book, with David Britten Prior wiring and directing. The plot “centers on an ex-cop, plagued by the violent death of his wife and son, who battles to find a missing girl but soon discovers a sinister presence around him”, although it’s said that Prior’s script takes some departures from the source material.
Production on The Empty Man is slated to get underway in the fall in South Africa.
