Actress Janelle Monae is according to reports the front runner for the role of Domino in Deadpool 2.
After a character breakdown was reportedly uncovered for Domino last month, a new report has surfaced from That Hashtag Show cliaming Janelle Monae has replaced Kerry Washington as the number one choice for the role.
Sources for That Hashtag Show have apparently discovered this information and while it isn’t exactly concrete evidence, Monae does seem like a feasible choice.
With her recent success in the Oscar winning Moonlight and the much praised Hidden Figures, her profile has certainly been elevated. So one can see why Fox might be interested in acquiring her services.
She also looks like to have many of the physical attributes for the role so perhaps this is more than just speculation.
Deadpool 2 of course is going to be quite the event no matter who is cast in the movie, and with the recent success of Logan, the goodwill should hopefully stay with Fox for their R-rated properties.
