Jessica Jones’ Wil Traval joins Arrow as Human Target

August 19, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Wil Traval is set to swap the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the Arrowverse, with the Jessica Jones star signing on to play the character Human Target in the fifth season of Arrow.

As per TV Line, the official character description reads: “A professional bodyguard and master of disguise who assumes the identities of those targeted by assassins, the character (a.k.a. Christopher Chance) will appear in Episode 5 when he takes on a new client: Mayor Oliver Queen.”

Human Target was created by Len Wein and Carmine Infantino, and has twice headlined his own TV series with ABC’s short-lived 1992 show and the 2010-2011 series on Fox.

Traval portrayed the character of Will Simpson in Marvel’s Jessica Jones; at this point, it’s unclear whether he’ll be back for season two, or if he might pop up in any other the other Netflix series.
