Joel introduces the Fortitude attribute in latest Alpha 17 video for 7 Days to Die

October 17, 2018 by Andrew Newton

The latest video in the series of developer videos for Alpha 17 of 7 Days to Die, Joel Huenink of The Fun Pimps introduces the Fortitude attribute and its perks.  Fortitude affects health, disease and damage resistance.

Fortitude is split into two sections, Survival covers factors that can affect health while on the move and Recovery covers healing etc.  Perks under Survival include Heavy Armour – provides an increase in heavy armour durability, Intrinsic Immunity – provides an increase to disease resistance and a decrease in chance to get infected and Living off the Land which provides an increase in resources received from harvesting crops and animals.  This perk at its max will mean crops will give 6 yields a time.  As an aside, Alpha 17 will also mean we can say goodbye to the long-winded production of fertiliser and the need for collecting turds.

Perks under Recovery include Healing Factor – increases the natural healing rate, Fully Hydrated – increases hydration with each beverage and reduces water loss, Slow Metabolism is similar to Fully Hydrated but with food stuffs, and finally Self Medicated which increases the effectiveness of drugs, decreases the dehydration rate of pills and reduces the chance of withdrawal.
