John Boyega thinks Finn could have been served better in Star Wars: The Last Jedi

December 19, 2019 by Samuel Brace

John Boyega, one of the stars of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, thinks that Finn could have been served better in the previous film Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

While Finn, played by John Boyega, was a key character in The Force Awakens, his role in The Last Jedi was kind of secondary, being paired up with Rose Tico in a storyline that many Star Wars fans didn’t appreciate.

It turns out Boyega himself wasn’t a fan either, telling THR in a recent interview that he “liked the idea of Rian having his own take on something that was quite important, and I liked the idea of these characters being challenged and separated and stressed, like everyone was just trying to get to each other. That excited me. I will be honest in saying that I think they could’ve done better [by] Finn, especially with Finn and Rose.”
