Junkie XL to score Sonic the Hedgehog movie

During an interview with Film Music Magazine (via Film Music Reporter), composer Tom Holkenborg – a.k.a. Junkie XL – has revealed that he is currently working on the score for Paramount Pictures’ Sonic the Hedgehog movie.

Holkenberg’s previous film credits include the likes of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Mad Max: Fury Road, Deadpool, Tomb Raider, Mortal Engines and Alita: Battle Angel.

Sonic the Hedgehog is directed by Jeff Fowler (Gopher Broke) and will see Sonic (voiced by Ben Schwartz) teaming up with Green Hills sheriff Tom Wachowski (James Marsden) to battle his nemesis, the evil Dr. Ivo Robotnik (Jim Carrey).

Also featuring in the cast of the film are Adam Pally (Happy Endings), Tika Sumpter (Ride Along), Neal McDonough (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) and Natasha Rothwell (Love, Simon).

Sonic the Hedgehog is set for release on November 15th 2019.
