Kevin Feige gives an update on Marvel One Shots

October 2, 2015 by Luke Owen

One of the more endearing elements of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the Marvel One Shots, which have given characters like Agent Coulson, Agent Carter and even Trevor Slattery (which introduces the idea that The Mandarin is a real character in the MCU) a little bit more screen time. But we’ve not seen one for a while – will we ever see them again?

“We talk about them a lot!” Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige told guests at an Avengers: Age of Ultron home entertainment release party. “We have characters like that that Jeremy [Latcham, Marvel Studios producer] is always talking about. ‘When are we gonna do Howard? When are we gonna do Cosmo?’ We are relatively small team, now moving into three movies a year. It’s just about finding the time and place to do that. But there’s a backlog of ideas.”

A Cosmo Marvel One Shot? Count us in. But as we discussed on the Flickering Myth Podcast review of Ant-Man, the one we want to see right now is Hank Pym and The Wasp superhero adventures in the 1960s/1970s. Make it happen Marvel!
