Kevin Smith joins the ranks of LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham

October 1, 2014 by James Garcia

Well, this was a bit unexpected! Warner Bros. Interactive and DC Comics have been revealing which characters will populate the upcoming video game LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham for months now. We’ve seen characters like Hawkman, Brainiac, Solomon Grundy, Cyborg, Shazam, Black Adam and more join the ranks… and now Kevin Smith will join them.

That’s right, Tusk and Clerks director Kevin Smith is getting a LEGO makeover! The image below was released by the LEGO Batman twitter page, which also revealed that Smith will be present at the game’s panel at New York City Comic-Con next weekend. Check out his minifig here…

“The best-selling LEGO Batman videogame franchise returns in an out-of-this-world, atcion-packed adventure! In LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, the Caped Crusader joins forces with the super heroes of the DC Comics universe and blasts off to outer space to stop the evil Brainiac from destroying Earth. Using the power of the Lantern Rings, Brainiac shrinks worlds to add to his twisted collection of miniature cities from across the universe. Now the greatest heroes and the most cunning villains must unite and journey to different Lantern Worlds to collect the Lantern Rings and stop Brianiac before it’s too late.”

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is set for release later this year.
