Kiersey Clemons confirms she is still playing Iris West in The Flash movie

May 27, 2018 by Gary Collinson

With her cameo being cut from Justice League, rumours started circulating late last year that Warner Bros. was considering dropping Kiersey Clemons from The Flash solo movie and recasting the role of Barry Allen’s love-interest.

Well, it seems we can now completely disregard any such talk, as the Dope and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising star has confirmed on Conan that she remains very much attached as the DC Extended Universe incarnation of Iris.

“Imagine if I said no,” said Clemons. “Imagine if I was like, ‘I’m cut out of the whole thing.’ We talked about it though before so that’s not going to happen. I know I’m going to be in The Flash… Yeah, I’m Iris West.”

While we can now add Clemons to the cast alongside Ezra Miller’s Scarlet Speedster, we still don’t have any word on a possible start or release date for the project.

Meanwhile, it’s also unclear now whether new directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley still intend on adapting the Flashpoint storyline, with recent reports suggesting that is no longer the case and that Warner Bros. and DC Films have reverted to the original plan of a traditional solo movie.
