Marc Webb wants Kraven the Hunter for The Amazing Spider-Man 3

May 5, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Having upped the number of villains for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 with the introduction of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Green Goblin (Dane DeHaan) and The Rhino (Paul Giamatti), Sony is now gearing up to expand its Spider-Man bad guy quota with spin-offs for Venom and The Sinister Six.

We’ve already seen a tease for the potential line-up of The Sinister Six [see here], and now Marc Webb has indicated that we might get to see one or more of those characters when The Amazing Spider-Man 3 swings into cinemas in 2016, although he does have one particular villain in mind…

“Kraven,” Webb told ComicBook when asked about which bad guys he’s interesting in utilising for the next instalment of the rebooted Spider-Man universe. “Kraven. I like the idea of Kraven. The Vulture. Ock. I always thought the idea of Mysterio was interesting. Maybe Scorpion. But really, Kraven I think is kind of interesting.”

Who would you like to see as the villain(s) for The Amazing Spider-Man 3? And if it is Kraven, who would you cast in the role? Let us know your thoughts…

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is out now with a cast that includes Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker), Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), Sally Field (Aunt May), Chris Zylka (Flash Thompson), Campbell Scott (Richard Parker), Embeth Davidtz (Mary Parker), Martin Sheen (Ben Parker) and Denis Leary (George Stacy) alongside new additions Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained) as Electro, Dane DeHaan (Chronicle) as Harry Osborn, Paul Giamatti (12 Years a Slave) as The Rhino, Chris Cooper (American Beauty) as Norman Osborn, Colm Feore (Thor) as Donald Menken, Felicity Jones (Like Crazy) as Felicia Hardy, Marton Csokas (The Lord of the Rings) as Dr. Kafka and B.J. Novak (The Office) as Alistair Smythe. Read our reviews here, here and here.
