Kumail Nanjiani “awestruck” by the scale of Marvel’s Eternals

September 9, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Kumail Nanjiani, one of the stars of Marvel’s Eternals, reveals that he was “awestruck” by the massive scale of the movie.

With all the delays in Hollywood right now, it feels like its been a while since an MCU movie hit our screens. The good news is that there are a bunch of them on the way, including 2021’s Eternals.

Kumail Nanjiani plays Kingo in the film and has tweeted about the lack of information about the movie so far but how excited he is for everyone to see it: “I know there isn’t much news yet! I’m in the dark too, trust me. I can’t wait for it, whenever it comes. But I promise the movie will be worth the wait. It’s the most exciting, fun, epic, thrilling, hilarious & moving project I’ve ever been a part of. And it’s massive. The scale of it is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I would walk on to shoot and be awestruck by the sets every day.”

Fans are just going to have to be patient regarding a lot of their favorite movies right now and savour every little scrap of info they can get their hands on. Hopefully, more Eternals details aren’t too far away.

Marvel Studios’ Eternals features an exciting new team of Super-Heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s most ancient enemy, The Deviants.

Eternals is being directed by Chloe Zhao (The Rider) and features a cast that includes Angelina Jolie (Maleficent), Richard Madden (Bodyguard), Don Lee (Train to Busan), Salma Hayek (The Hitman’s Bodyguard), Lauren Ridloff (The Walking Dead), Brian Tyree Henry (Child’s Play), Lia McHugh (American Woman), Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick), Kit Harington (Game of Thrones), Gemma Chan (Captain Marvel) and Barry Keoghan (Dunkirk). It is set for release on February 12th 2021.
